Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureD-
Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a B- for the Seahawks.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Seahawks committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They are betting Glaze proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with wide receiver, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In slot 5 they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick81 Rnd3 Cade Stover
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Cade Stover at TE-EDGE with wide receiver, running back and other spots open.
Pick119 Rnd4 Matt Goncalves
A reasonable price with a little left over, Matt Goncalves in pick No. 119. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick151 Rnd5 Delmar Glaze
A big swing on Delmar Glaze at No. 151, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick183 Rnd6 Jalyx Hunt
A slide stopped in pick 183, with Jalyx Hunt worth more than the price. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
Pick194 Rnd6 Zion Tupuola-Fetui
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Zion Tupuola-Fetui. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick223 Rnd7 Tyrice Knight
Good price on Tyrice Knight in Round 7, Pick 3, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick256 Rnd7 C.J. Hanson
C.J. Hanson at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
