You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Browns did exactly that with J.J. Weaver in the Round 7 slot.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

On value alone, Gadsden II makes the weekend a net positive. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left quarterback open, and the grade is the bill.
