A costly weekend of dealing drags the Lions to a D-.

The Lions clearly saw something nobody else did in TJ Metcalf, taking him 42 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
