The Bears did not so much draft Tyler Baron as overpay for him, 51 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Sheppard that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
