A franchise passer in Sanders headlines a B- weekend for the Giants.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Mason Taylor, the No. 99 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They are betting Howard proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They have staked the next five years on Shedeur Sanders, which is the only story that really matters here. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
