Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Ravens.

The Jalen Travis pick is the one that will follow the Ravens into the fall. They took him 77 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

On value alone, Restrepo makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Malaki Starks
In the 27th overall pick they get a two-high chess piece. More want than need.
Pick59 Rnd2 Darien Porter
Darien Porter at pick No. 59 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick91 Rnd3 Oluwafemi Oladejo
They reached a country mile for Oluwafemi Oladejo at slot 91, and the board is aghast. The roster fit checks out.
Pick129 Rnd4 Xavier Restrepo
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Restrepo at the 129th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick136 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
They paid sticker price for Hollin Pierce in Round 4, Pick 34, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick176 Rnd5 Andres Borregales
You do not let a specialist like Andres Borregales reach the Round 5 slot and blink. They did not. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick183 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West at the 183rd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick203 Rnd6 Tahj Brooks
Good price on Tahj Brooks in the 203rd overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at No. 210 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jalen Travis
A big swing on Jalen Travis at Round 6, Pick 36, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick243 Rnd7 Jaylin Smith
Jaylin Smith in pick 243 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
