Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB
The Ravens cashed the board's mistake on Tracy Jr.: B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Ravens watched Tyrone Tracy Jr. slide 50 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

If Briggs pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. The Ravens indulged a want in Green while a need in cornerback, running back and other spots stayed open.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Graham Barton
In No. 31 they get a long-term starter on the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick62 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
The board had Javon Bullard higher than the Round 2 slot, and the safety fell to them anyway. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick93 Rnd3 Blake Fisher
Taking Blake Fisher in pick 93 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick113 Rnd4 Renardo Green
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending Round 4, Pick 13 on Renardo Green with cornerback, running back and other spots unsolved.
Pick130 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Johnny Wilson in slot 130. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Myles Cole
A quiet steal in pick No. 165: Myles Cole for less than the market said. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick176 Rnd6 Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. at the 176th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick211 Rnd6 Jha'Quan Jackson
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jha'Quan Jackson in the 211th pick, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick218 Rnd6 Trey Taylor
They liked Trey Taylor enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 43. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick228 Rnd7 Jowon Briggs
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jowon Briggs this early at No. 228. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick250 Rnd7 KT Leveston
Steal is underselling it; KT Leveston at pick No. 250 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
