The Chiefs clearly saw something nobody else did in Vernon Broughton, taking him 44 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

Hunter at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
