Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chiefs spent pick No. 257 on Cooper Mays, a name the board had a full 40 spots lower. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Getting Taylor where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
