Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
The Browns found their guy under center in Ward: B.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Browns spent their marquee pick on Cam Ward, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Every board in the league had Vinson lower, and that gap is the story. Starks at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In pick 2 they get the face of the franchise at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Nic Scourton
A tidy little value on Nic Scourton in Round 2, Pick 1, a step better than break-even. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick67 Rnd3 Malaki Starks
They robbed the room for Malaki Starks here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick94 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond in the 94th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick104 Rnd4 Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo in slot 104 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick179 Rnd6 Carson Vinson
They reached into another round for Carson Vinson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick200 Rnd6 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins at pick No. 200 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick216 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
A tidy bit of business in Round 6, Pick 40, where Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson graded well above the range. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick255 Rnd7 Corey Kiner
Taking Corey Kiner in pick 255 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. A need, and now a little less of one.
