Prof DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a B-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The Beebe value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In the Round 1 slot they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In pick 9 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick75
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in pick No. 75 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick122
Rnd4
Mohamed Kamara
They jumped the gun on Mohamed Kamara, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
