Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Browns spent the Round 6 slot on Tyler Batty, a name the board had a full 84 spots lower.

The Skattebo pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

The Braden Smith deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
