Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Browns robbed the room for Skattebo. Final grade: B.

Somebody in No. 214 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The Belton reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In the 2nd pick they get a ballhawk on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at the Round 2 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
They barely believed it either: Jihaad Campbell still on the board at pick No. 67. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick94 Rnd3 Tez Johnson
No drama and no debate, Tez Johnson went about where he belonged in slot 94. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102 Rnd4 TreVeyon Henderson
They will replay TreVeyon Henderson at Round 4, Pick 1 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick163 Rnd5 Jake Majors
Somehow Jake Majors was still sitting there in pick 163, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick177 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin at No. 177 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick190 Rnd6 Lathan Ransom
You do not let a safety like Lathan Ransom reach the 190th overall pick and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick198 Rnd6 Anthony Belton
This one needs a full-page explanation: Anthony Belton in Round 6, Pick 23, miles early. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick214 Rnd6 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at pick No. 214 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick215 Rnd6 Elijah Arroyo
Steal is underselling it; Elijah Arroyo at No. 215 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick256 Rnd7 Paris Shand
They reached a country mile for Paris Shand at the 256th pick, and the board is aghast. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
