Draft Grade — Browns
Overall A-
ValueA NeedB- TradesA+ FutureA
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Browns and Bowman Jr.: A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Billy Bowman Jr. at pick No. 217 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Jones Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Browns clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.

Pick Analysis
Pick47 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Circle this one: Jalon Walker at slot 47 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick67 Rnd3 Tyleik Williams
Tyleik Williams in Round 3, Pick 3 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick94 Rnd3 Jack Bech
Jack Bech in the 94th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick103 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
They talked themselves into Emery Jones Jr. at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick 165 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick181 Rnd6 Cam Skattebo
They will replay Cam Skattebo at pick No. 181 for years; that is how good the value is. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick194 Rnd6 Connor Colby
Connor Colby slid further than he should have, and No. 194 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick202 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
Good price on Luke Lachey in the 202nd overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Pick216 Rnd6 Lander Barton
Somehow Lander Barton was still sitting there in the Round 6 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick217 Rnd6 Billy Bowman Jr.
The board fumbled Billy Bowman Jr. all the way to slot 217, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick257 Rnd7 RJ Harvey
You do not let a running back like RJ Harvey reach pick 257 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
