A puzzling weekend of work from the Steelers: D.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Steelers did exactly that with Stone Handy in Round 4, Pick 21. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The Sauls pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. They banked enough surplus on Lambert-Smith to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
