Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Mukuba should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Browns came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Getting Mukuba where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The Hamilton pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
They read the board right and Tyler Warren was the payoff at slot 33. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jack Bech
They took Jack Bech at par in pick 67, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick94 Rnd3 Charles Grant
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 94 with a little surplus value in Charles Grant. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick104 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
They barely believed it either: Andrew Mukuba still on the board at the 104th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick179 Rnd6 RJ Harvey
Value with a capital V on RJ Harvey in the 179th pick, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kyle Williams
Circle this one: Kyle Williams at No. 192 is a fall that decides a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick200 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
They paid sticker price for Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson in the 200th pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick236 Rnd7 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in No. 236 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick241 Rnd7 Shemar James
No edge and no loss on Shemar James in pick 241; it is a wash and a sensible one. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
The board had Jamon Dumas-Johnson higher than pick No. 255, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
