Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Browns cashed the board's mistake on Ayomanor: B.

The Browns did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Elic Ayomanor fell into slot 94. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will need Vinson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Travis Hunter
In the 2nd overall pick they get a sticky cover corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren at Round 2, Pick 1 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick67 Rnd3 Jaxson Dart
You do not let a quarterback like Jaxson Dart reach slot 67 and blink. They did not. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick94 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
Somehow Elic Ayomanor was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick104 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
They took Cam Skattebo at par in No. 104, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick179 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
A slide stopped in pick No. 179, with Seth McLaughlin worth more than the price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick192 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
Fair-plus on Jaylen Reed, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick200 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins in pick 200 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick216 Rnd6 Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson in No. 216 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
They barely believed it either: Cam Jackson still on the board at pick No. 255. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
