The Jimmy Horn Jr. selection is the head-turner. The Saints reached 85 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

Loveland falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

If James Pearce Jr. and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
