You could see the war room lean forward. Kyren Lacy at pick 253 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
