Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a D- for the Bears.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

They banked enough surplus on Bullard to cover a lot of smaller sins.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
