The Bears turned the phones into found money: A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Suamataia at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Adding Brian Burns by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, with Joe Alt leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
