Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 165 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 6, Pick 29. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
