Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Cody Simon, the No. 128 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 242.

They are betting Wease Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
