Larceny in pick 215 lands the 49ers a B-, Jones and all.

The curious call sets the tone. With interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots still glaring, the 49ers used the Round 3 slot on Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE they were not exactly short of.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jones.

The cost of the Sinnott reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
