The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Bralen Trice fell into slot 58.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Bishop proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
