Draft Grade — Giants
Overall C+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesC- FutureB-
A passer of the future in Sanders, and a C+, for the Giants.

The Giants torched the value chart for Davin Vann, taking him 115 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

Shedeur Sanders gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The Jackson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In the 5th overall pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34 Rnd2 Josh Conerly Jr.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Josh Conerly Jr.. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick65 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
They took Omarr Norman-Lott at par in Round 3, Pick 1, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick70 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
A straight-up fair deal on Jayden Higgins at the Round 3 slot, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick99 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Somehow Donovan Jackson was still sitting there in slot 99, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick105 Rnd4 Lathan Ransom
Lathan Ransom in No. 105 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick126 Rnd4 Nick Nash
A big swing on Nick Nash at No. 126, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick154 Rnd5 Davin Vann
This one needs a full-page explanation: Davin Vann in pick No. 154, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick219 Rnd7 Tahj Brooks
Steal is underselling it; Tahj Brooks at the 219th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick246 Rnd7 Shaun Dolac
They talked themselves into Shaun Dolac at the 246th pick, and the board did not agree. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
