Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Johnson: B.

Somebody in slot 126 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Kaleb Johnson, the No. 39 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick 58 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick89 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
Omarr Norman-Lott slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 25 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick126 Rnd4 Kaleb Johnson
You do not let a running back like Kaleb Johnson reach slot 126 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick164 Rnd5 Kevin Winston Jr.
They robbed the room for Kevin Winston Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick241 Rnd7 Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed in the Round 7 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
