The steal of the weekend belongs to the Texans and Tuten: B-.

The Texans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 158 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. Every board in the league had Booker lower, and that gap is the story.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker at No. 25 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick57 Rnd2 Tyleik Williams
They took Tyleik Williams at par in pick No. 57, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick89 Rnd3 Denzel Burke
Somehow Denzel Burke was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick126 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Andrew Mukuba in slot 126, plain and simple. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick164 Rnd5 Eli Stowers
They paid sticker price for Eli Stowers in the 164th pick, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick241 Rnd7 Bhayshul Tuten
They will replay Bhayshul Tuten at the 241st overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
