Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA
The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Rodriguez: A-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Nicholas Rodriguez had no business being available in No. 202, and the 49ers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Harbor proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The 49ers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Bottom line, with Nyck Harbor leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick96 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
Nyck Harbor at the 96th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick133 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
They jumped the gun on Jayden Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 Mateen Ibirogba
A straight-up fair deal on Mateen Ibirogba at Round 5, Pick 32, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick201 Rnd6 Drew Azzopardi
Drew Azzopardi at pick No. 201 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick202 Rnd6 Nicholas Rodriguez
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Nicholas Rodriguez in slot 202, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick251 Rnd7 Sheridan Wilson
No drama and no debate, Sheridan Wilson went about where he belonged in the 251st overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
