Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Barton. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The cost of the Powers-Johnson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
