Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Devin Neal, the No. 78 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 210.

The cost of the Burch reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

The Seahawks paired the rookies with proven help, Jonathon Cooper leading the way.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
