The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. McCaffrey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
