The Bears drew a line under the quarterback search with Williams: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Kinchens pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Wiley has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
