Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Coker: B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jalen Coker, the No. 211 name on the board, stolen at Round 7, Pick 25. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will answer for taking safety early while edge rusher, quarterback and other spots went begging. If Mahogany pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In the 25th pick they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
No edge and no loss on Javon Bullard in No. 54; it is a wash and a sensible one. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick58 Rnd2 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright at pick 58 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick85 Rnd3 Blake Fisher
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 22: Blake Fisher for less than the market said. It fills a real need, too.
Pick88 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
A surprising call. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still to address, they spent the Round 3 slot on Cole Bishop, a safety they were not short of.
Pick91 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at pick No. 91 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick126 Rnd4 DeWayne Carter
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and DeWayne Carter at the 126th overall pick is the proof. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick169 Rnd5 Ty'Ron Hopper
A reach for Ty'Ron Hopper in slot 169; a little patience would have been rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick202 Rnd6 Kamal Hadden
Kamal Hadden at slot 202 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick219 Rnd6 Tyrice Knight
Nothing to complain about; Tyrice Knight went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick243 Rnd7 Garret Greenfield
Garret Greenfield in the 243rd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Coker
They will replay Jalen Coker at pick 245 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jackson Sirmon
By-the-book stuff, Jackson Sirmon at Round 7, Pick 35 squarely in line with his ranking. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
