The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Dont'e Thornton Jr. slide 65 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They are betting West proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
