Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesC FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B-.

The war room fell hard for Ahmed Hassanein, and it showed at pick 198: 41 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They banked enough surplus on Jackson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In pick No. 17 they get a difference-maker at receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick55 Rnd2 Donovan Jackson
They paid a round early for Donovan Jackson in pick 55, more than the board wanted. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick66 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at the 66th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jamaree Caldwell
Jamaree Caldwell at the 124th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick159 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Value said wait; Dont'e Thornton Jr. in slot 159 says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick198 Rnd6 Ahmed Hassanein
They left a pile of value on the table to take Ahmed Hassanein this early at No. 198. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick209 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
A clean, defensible pick in pick 209 with a little surplus value in Jay Higgins. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick237 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They paid up for Teddye Buchanan at slot 237 when waiting would have done the job. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick250 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
Steal is underselling it; Cam Jackson at the 250th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
