Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Frank Gore Jr., 65 picks early at the 189th overall pick. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The DeJean steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 JC Latham
In the 11th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Jack Sawyer
They reached a country mile for Jack Sawyer at pick 39, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in pick No. 43 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick75 Rnd3 Nazir Stackhouse
Nazir Stackhouse in slot 75 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick82 Rnd3 Cooper DeJean
Somehow Cooper DeJean was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick111 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
They left a pile of value on the table to take Ben Sinnott this early at the 111th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick135 Rnd4 Shemar Turner
Shemar Turner in No. 135 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick189 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Frank Gore Jr. in pick No. 189, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick217 Rnd6 Kamal Hadden
A real head-scratcher, Kamal Hadden in the Round 6 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick219 Rnd6 Phil Jurkovec
A wild overpay on Phil Jurkovec in slot 219, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick232 Rnd7 Jordan Jefferson
A conviction pick on Jordan Jefferson at pick 232 that the board grades a round light. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
