Nobody dealt better than the Packers this weekend: B-. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Packers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
The Packers indulged a want in DeJean while a need in edge rusher, cornerback and other spots stayed open. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Packers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In pick 16 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value.
Pick41
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
By-the-book stuff, Jordan Morgan at Round 2, Pick 9 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick55
Rnd2
Cooper DeJean
A want over a need in the Round 2 slot: Cooper DeJean adds a defensive back while edge rusher, cornerback and other spots keeps waiting.
Pick73
Rnd3
Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in the 73rd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
