The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Oluwafemi Oladejo went at the Round 3 slot, a good 54 picks before the board was ready.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. White III falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
