The Panthers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The Panthers spent real capital to be 66 picks early on Drew Allar, and the board is going to hold them to it. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
