A sensible, unshowy class lands the Panthers a B-.

The Panthers did not so much draft Zane Durant as overpay for him, 67 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Landing Gillotte that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
