The Panthers answered their biggest question with Ward. Grade: B.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Panthers committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They will need White to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Hairston pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
