The steal of the weekend belongs to the Panthers and Proctor: D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Panthers did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. With linebacker, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

The cost of the Fisher reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Proctor pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
