The Panthers bet big and early on Jared Wilson, 114 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. So much rides on Cam Ward that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Anderson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
