The trade table was where it all came apart. The Panthers shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They will need Bortolini to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Tampa pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
