The Panthers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D+.

The Panthers did not so much draft Barion Brown as overpay for him, 37 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It grades a D+, and the process earned it.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Hairston value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
