The AJ Barner selection is the head-turner. The Panthers reached 38 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

If Tyler Guyton and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
