The real work happened on the phones. The Patriots fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Wilson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Mark Andrews gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
