The Patriots answered their biggest question with Maye. Grade: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Reaching for Boyd left real value on the table behind him. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Laube falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
