Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Patriots came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Justin Fields pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. They banked enough surplus on Abrams-Draine to cover a lot of smaller sins.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
